Carelist

Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

The short version: Carelist does not collect your data. Everything you enter stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. Nothing you enter is sent to us. The only exception is a provider or medication search you choose to run, explained below.

Who we are

Carelist is published by Logik Space, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Carelist app for iPhone handles information. Contact: support@carelist.app.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, share or have access to any information you enter into Carelist. Carelist has no developer-run servers that receive your data, and it does not require an account.

Information you enter in the app

You may enter information such as provider and specialist details, insurance information, medication lists, reminder schedules, and details about family members, including children. This information is stored locally on your device. It is yours, and it never leaves your control except as described below.

iCloud backup, sync and sharing

If iCloud is enabled, Carelist uses Apple's iCloud services to back up and sync your data between your own devices, and to share it with other guardians you choose to invite. This data is stored in your iCloud account and protected by Apple's iCloud encryption, and by end-to-end encryption if you have turned on Apple's Advanced Data Protection. We cannot access it.

When you share with another guardian, that person can see the information you share and, depending on the permissions you set, change it. Only invite people you trust. You can stop sharing at any time from within the app or iCloud settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

Medication reminders are local notifications scheduled and delivered by your device. They do not pass through any server of ours. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

Device permissions

Carelist may ask for permission to send notifications and, if you choose to add photos such as an insurance card, to use your camera or photo library. These permissions are optional. Photos you add are processed and stored on your device and in your iCloud, and are not sent to us.

Provider and medication searches

When you search for a provider or medication to add, the text you type is sent directly from your device to public U.S. government databases (the NPI Registry from CMS, RxNorm and DailyMed from the National Library of Medicine, and openFDA). The search goes straight from your device to those services, not through any server of ours. The searches do not include your family's records, and we never receive them. Those services handle search requests under their own policies. You can add providers and medications manually without using search.

No tracking, analytics or advertising

Carelist contains no advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. If you have opted in to share diagnostics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated crash reports. These do not include the information you enter in Carelist.

Purchases

Carelist is free to download. Creating a family is a one-time in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, and people you invite can join for free. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your payment details or Apple ID information.

Children

Carelist is designed for parents and guardians, not for children, and it is not directed at children under 13. Guardians may enter information about their children. That information stays on the guardian's device and iCloud, and we never receive it.

Your control and deleting your data

You can edit or delete any entry at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings, tap your name, choose iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, select Carelist and delete its data. Because we hold no copy of your information, we have nothing to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf, and no data to disclose to third parties.

Health information

Information you enter may relate to health. Carelist is a personal organizer, not a healthcare provider, health plan or healthcare clearinghouse, and we do not receive your information. Carelist is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security and Apple's iCloud encryption. We recommend using a device passcode or Face ID, keeping iOS up to date, and protecting your Apple ID with two-factor authentication.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If we ever change how data is handled in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
