Because Carelist stores your data on your device and in your iCloud, we cannot see or recover your information for you. Keep iCloud backup turned on.

Frequently asked questions

Is Carelist free? Do other guardians need to buy it?

Carelist is free to download. Creating a family is a one-time $4.99 purchase, and only the person who purchased it can create a family. Other guardians can join your family for free.

How do I share Carelist with another guardian?

Open Carelist, tap Share, and send the invitation to the other guardian. They accept using their own Apple ID. Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud, and iCloud Drive must be turned on for Carelist in Settings.

My shared information is not updating.

Check that both devices are online and signed in to iCloud, and that you have enough iCloud storage. Open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and make sure Carelist is turned on. Sync can take a few minutes.

My medication reminders are not showing up.

Open Settings, then Notifications, then Carelist, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Also check that no Focus mode or Do Not Disturb setting is silencing them. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they work offline.

How do I move Carelist to a new iPhone?

Sign in to the same Apple ID on the new iPhone and download Carelist from your purchased apps. Your information syncs back through iCloud. Restoring from an iCloud or computer backup also works.

I reinstalled the app. How do I restore my purchase?

Carelist is free to download, so reinstall it from the App Store, then open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple ID that bought it. You will not be charged again.

How do I request a refund?

Apple handles all payments and refunds, including the one-time purchase that lets you create a family. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and choose the Carelist purchase.

How do I delete all of my information?

Delete entries in the app, or delete the app from your device. To also remove the copy stored in iCloud, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, choose Carelist and delete its data. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us.

Is Carelist a medical device or a replacement for medical records?

No. Carelist is a personal organizer for information you enter. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not an official medical record. Always confirm medications and doses with your healthcare provider or pharmacist.

System requirements

iPhone running iOS 17 or later. An Apple ID signed in to iCloud is needed for backup, sync and sharing, but not to use the app.
